Cloud Connect

Private, Public & Hybrid, Custom made solutions, Colocation, Bare metal servers, Storage, Cloud Connect.

Supported Cloud-Providers:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Private connectivity to AWS is called AWS Direct Connect. As AWS customer, the customer will buy the Direct Connect Hosted Connection from AWS and register the Virtual Interface (VIF) in AWS portal. The options are VIF types Transit VIF, Private VIF or Public VIF. Transit VIF supports Transit Gateway functionality.

If redundancy is requested, the customer needs to purchase two AWS Direct Connect Hosted Connection from Amazon for redundancy reasons based on their AWS Account ID. The AWS Account ID is needed to connect the Hosted Connection to a port in AWS portal. When this is done, the end customer will confirm this in AWS portal, which will activate the service.

  • Microsoft Azure
  • Private connectivity to Microsoft Azure is called Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute, which is a redundant service.

Customers need to purchase an ExpressRoute connection directly from Microsoft. Customer will receive an Azure service key for the ExpressRoute Connection which is needed to activate the Cloud Connection (EVC) to Microsoft Azure.

Each ExpressRoute connection consists of 2 diverse connections (EVCs) provisioned over diverse interconnects to Microsoft Azure.

  • Google
  • The customer needs to create at least 2 so-called VLAN attachments within their Google Cloud service, connecting to 2 diverse Google Peering routers within the same metro. The customer will receive a pairing key from Google which is needed by E-CAPS to activate the Cloud Connection (EVC) to Google. In addition, customer also needs to order (at least) 2 Cloud Connections (EVCs) to these Google Peering routers.

  • IBM Cloud
  • Connect connection directly from IBM. Customer will receive an authorization key for the connection which is needed by E-CAPS to activate the Cloud Connection (EVC) when this connection will be provisioned over a shared NNI port towards IBM Cloud.

Customer needs to order two Cloud Connections (EVC) from E-CAPS to 2 diverse interconnects with IBM Cloud, either terminated on the same Customer Port or on two customer ports.
